Child Support
Child Support is the payment of money from one parent to another to assist with the ongoing financial costs associated with raising children post-separation.
How much Child Support do I pay?
There are several factors that are taken into account when determining how much a parent should pay, including the combined incomes of the parents, the care arrangements of the children (how much time they spend with each parent) and the average cost to raise a child.
We can also assist parents who choose enter into their own private arrangement which is called a Child Support Agreement. This is essentially an agreement for the payment of child support as agreed between the parties. Accredited Family Law Specialist David Reardon has years of experience drafting and negotiating these types of Agreements and our team would be more than willing to assist you in this area.
