The Family Law Amendment (Shared Responsibility) Act 2006 (“the Shared Parenting Act”) allows for parties to now develop a Parenting Plan relating to the child pursuant to s63C of the Family Law Act.

This is an agreement in writing made between the parties and deals with a person or persons with whom a child is to live, the time a child is to spend with another person or persons, the allocation of parental responsibility for a child.
